A Drop-in Meditation Class

​

The Simply Meditate class gives us a simple but extensive exploration of basic meditation practices.

 

In November and December, we are exploring Meditations for Relaxation.  These are guided meditations that are all forms of breathing meditation.  These help to calm the mind, reduce stress, and give rise to an experience of inner peace and wellbeing. 

 

One meditation that we will cover is a basic breathing meditation that helps to disengage the mind from the busyness of everyday life and create a special feeling of inner peace. Another meditation combines mindfulness of the breath with visualization, or creative imagination, and leads to a deep feeling of inner calm and purity. A third meditation is a special breathing meditation that combines mindfulness of the breath with the recitation of mantra. 

 

All these meditations will be guided by a senior student at Mahakaruna KBC and can be practised by anyone.
